<p><strong>Here we are! We just released the <a href="http://souls-game.com" title="Souls: The Lost Memories">Alpha 2 version of Souls</a></strong>, and opened up a few slots for you to test the game.</p>
<p>We didn&#8217;t post about the Alpha 1 since we wanted to test it with a very limited number of users, but it&#8217;s been online for 2 weeks now.<br />
<em>(We didn&#8217;t post about anything else either for that matter, as we had &#8211; and still have &#8211; a lot of work left ^^)</em></p>
<p>But today we reached the second milestone on our roadmap, and we start working on the next: Beta 1.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t have an account already, you can create one and <a href="http://souls-game.com" title="Try the game!">try the game</a> right now :)<br />
Even if there is a lot of new stuff in this Alpha 2, it&#8217;s still an alpha, and a lot of the gameplay mechanics are not yet implemented.<br />
But you can explore worlds, collect blocks and items, customize your own world, sell and buy stuff in the Shop&#8230;</p>
<p>And if you&#8217;re that kind of a tester, you can help us by dropping by <a href="http://www.souls-game.com/en/forum/" title="Souls Forum">the forum</a> and reporting any bug you might find, letting us know about what you think of the game so far etc.<br />
Feedback is always appreciated! :D</p>
<p>Also we would like to thank our first testers, who were there literally minutes after the release of Alpha 1&#8230; ;)<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Remember <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/blog/2012/04/ludum-dare/" title="Ludum Dare (30/04/2012)">this article presenting our participations</a> in the latest Ludum Dare?<br />
Well the rating period is over, the results came in this morning, and we did quite good ;)</p>
<p>Thorvald, with <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/ld23-thotor" title="The Traveler">The Traveler</a>, got the <strong>237th</strong> position in the global compo ranking (over 1000 participants), while Valandre got the <strong>280th</strong> with <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/ld23-valandre/" title="Hamster Damn">Hamster Damn</a>.<br />
Thorvald also got the <strong>14th</strong> position in the Theme category.</p>
<p>In the Jam ranking, <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/ld23/" title="Exposed">Exposed</a> (by Carduus, 01101101 and Mathieu) got the <strong>20th</strong> position in over 300 participants. Carduus also got the <strong>Gold medal</strong> for Graphics, and Mathieu the <strong>Bronze medal</strong> for Audio. The game got good rakings in the Humor and Mood categories too.</p>
<p>We&#8217;re pretty happy with our games and, as usual, we&#8217;re looking forward to the next LD!</p>
<p>Also, we&#8217;d like to congratulate our friends from Motion Twin, <a href="http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?uid=2982" title="Memento XII">Deepnight</a>, <a href="http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?uid=2952" title="Super Strict Farmer">Ben</a> and <a href="http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&#038;uid=8497" title="Adventures in NoLand">Warp</a>, who &#8211; again &#8211; ruled the LD with <strong>2nd, 3rd and 134th positions</strong> in the compo ranking! :)</p>
<p>And congratulations as well to our other friends, the <a href="http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&#038;uid=12088" title="Nasty Bubbly">Dr.Pingu</a> team, who got the <strong>42nd</strong> position for their first jam!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A week ago ended the 23rd edition of <a href="http://ludumdare.com" title="Ludum Dare" target="_blank">Ludum Dare</a>, one of the biggest international game creation event.<br />
The goal is to make a game from scratch on your own in 48 hours, or with teammates in 72 hours.<br />
This time the theme was &#8220;Tiny world&#8221;.</p>
<p>This time we were all participating: Thorvald and Valandre made one game each, and Carduus, Mathieu and I made one together.<br />

So you probably already know it, but we made a trailer for Souls TCG! Once again, <a href="http://www.myspace.com/hallouinmathieu" title="Mathieu on Myspace" target="_blank">Mathieu</a> was kind enough to make music for it, so thank you Mat! :D</p>

<p>And in related news, <a href="http://www.myspace.com/hallouinmathieu" title="Mathieu on Myspace" target="_blank">Mathieu</a> made sounds and music for the game itself. Many of you asked for it, so it&#8217;s being integrated right now, and an update will follow in the stores.<br />

<p>The whole team is proud to annonce the official release of Souls TCG on the <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/souls-tcg/id505534875" target="itunes_store">AppStore</a> and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.proceduralactivity.soulstcg" target="itunes_store">Google Play</a>!<br />
It&#8217;s our first released game as Procedural Activity, and we hope that you are going to love it ;)</p>
<p>Some of you already guessed: yes, Souls TCG takes the gameplay basics of Triple Triad (from Final Fantasy VIII) and adds a few original variations and a rich bestiary with nice graphics&#8230; Capture your opponent&#8217;s cards by choosing yours wisely and explore Souls&#8217; world through three different game modes!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Those of you who had already visited the blog may have noticed a change in the games bar above &#8230;<br />
The Crash Cars thumbnail has been replaced by Souls TCG! :)<br />
But what does that mean?!</p>
<p>Firstly, it means that <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/blog/?page_id=17" title="Crash Cars">Crash Cars</a> (previously developed by Valandre and Carduus) is temporarily set aside.<br />
The explanation for this choice is purely technical: the technology that we use today (AIR/AS3) to develop our games leads to excessive loss of performance (especially on iOS), for us to create a game that fits our standards.<br />
Cars Crash will take advantage of our future transition to native technologies (Java, Objective-C) to make his comeback to its full potential!</p>
<p>However, this new thumbnail also means that a new game will make its appearance within a short time: <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/blog/?page_id=248" title="Souls TCG">Souls, The Card Game</a>!<br />
We have already spoken of <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/blog/?page_id=11" title="Souls">Souls, The Lost Memories</a>, our platformer/exploration game in which you control an Elemental Guardian.<br />
Well Souls TCG is a chance to dive into this world and to meet dozens of creatures of all kinds &#8230;<br />
But I won&#8217;t say more on this, a complete post will be published soon&#8230; ;)<br />

<p>And since we&#8217;re speaking about Souls, know that we will resume work on The Lost Memories next week.<br />
Thorvald has made good progress on its side while Valandre, Carduus and I were working on the mobile games, and now all four of us will be on it, although I&#8217;ll keep working on <a href="http://proceduralactivity.com/blog/?page_id=9" title="AsteroBlitz">AsteroBlitz</a> as well.</p>
